The following are portions of a letter sent from a grateful friend.

Dear Lehigh County Humane Society:

I am so grateful for your help in reuniting me with my beloved pet, Rob. On April 11th, Rob got out of our fenced yard when the gate was accidentally left open. For days we frantically searched for him to no avail. We began to lose hope that we would never see him again.

I had Rob and his brother, Dallas, for almost ten years. His loss was devastating as I am disabled and he was my constant companion.

On May 17th I was stunned and elated when a call came from your Humane Society saying that Rob had been found in Jordan Park. He had been brought to the Dixon Street animal shelter by a kind family who had seen him looking obviously bewildered and lost.

The Humane Society employees waited past their closing hours until I arrived at the shelter. What a joyous reunion we had!

Again, I can't put words how grateful I am for the Lehigh County Humane Society and for the wonderful family who brought Rob to the shelter.
